With that in mind, we’ve developed a new feature to help make managing your RTO business easier—Pay-By-Text (#PAY) gives customers the ability to make payments with just a few taps on their cell phones.
From the store side, Pay-By-Text makes collecting and recording payments easier too. Less intrusive than a phone call but more actionable than an email, cynergi|suite manages everything after you initiate the conversation.

How Does Pay-By-Text Work?
Using cynergi|suite, you can send a payment reminder text directly to the customer’s on-file cell phone number.
Once the customer receives the text message, they can easily make a payment using the credit card you have on file—all they need to do is reply to the text message with a specific #CODE, and the payment exchange happens in real-time.
The customer automatically receives a confirmation text message when the payment process is complete.
What Types of Payments Can Customers Make Using Pay-By-Text?
We designed the Pay-By-Text codes to work with the existing Today, Due Tomorrow, and Number of Days Late filters in cynergi|suite.
- #PAYLATE. Pays the customer’s entire overdue balance.
- #PAYTODAY. Pays the customer’s current amount due.
- #PAYTM. Pays the amount the customer has coming due the next day.
How Much Does Pay-By-Text Cost?
In most scenarios, Pay-By-Text is available for existing cynergi|suite customers at no additional cost.
