Important Update: Email File Compression Coming Soon

April 28, 2025 | By: High Touch Technologies

At High Touch Technologies, we’re always looking for ways to improve the performance, reliability, and security of the tools you use every day. As part of these efforts, we’re introducing an important update that affects how emailed reports are delivered through cynergi|suite.

Beginning in May, emails containing reports will automatically use file compression to help ensure successful delivery.

Why Compress Email Attachments?

Many of our clients send reports and other documents via email—however, email systems have limits on how large messages and attachments can be. If an email becomes too large (typically around 30 megabytes), many providers will block it entirely, preventing delivery.

By compressing (zipping) files automatically, we can:

  • Content. Fit more information into each email without exceeding size limits.
  • Deliverability. Increase the chances of successful delivery to your recipients.
  • Performance. Save storage space and make file downloads faster.

What Happens if an Email Is Still Too Large?

If a compressed email still exceeds the 30 MB threshold, instead of attempting to send the oversized file, cynergi|suite will send you an automatic notification. This email will let you know that the original email could not be sent because it exceeded the size limit.

Supporting Your Success

We’re implementing this change to make sure your reports continue to reach you and your clients reliably. If you have any questions about this update, or if you need help preparing for the change, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your Account Executive or the High Touch Support team.
