Upcoming Release: Digital Signature Capture – Pending Until Certified Enhancement

Are you looking to enhance your agreement management process further with cynergi|suite? If you’re an existing cynergi|suite client, you likely already know the power and convenience of its Digital Signature Capture feature for rent-to-own (RTO) businesses.
Now, we’re thrilled to introduce an enhancement that takes its capabilities to the next level, offering you even greater control and efficiency in managing your agreements.
Enhancement: Agreements Pending Until Certified
With this release, when creating new agreements using Digital Signature Capture, you can now view an agreement as “pending” instead of “new” until it is fully signed and certified. This change allows for a more accurate tracking system, ensuring that agreements are only counted once they meet all necessary criteria.
Previously, cynergi|suite only had one “pending” field that could be set in RENTCTRL—PendingTill Rev. If PendngTill Rev was set to Y, the new agreement will be set as “pending” until revenue has been taken on the agreement. With the addition of the new PendingTill Esigned flag, if you also have this flag set to Y, then both conditions must be met before the agreement is counted as “new.”
Reporting
For reporting purposes, there is an hourly update process that checks and counts agreements. Agreements are only counted during this update once they are fully signed and certified. The flag PendingTill Esigned in RENTCTRL controls when an agreement moves from pending to on-rent.
- If PendingTill Esigned is set to Y (Yes). The agreement will move to on-rent during a callback routine.
- If PendingTill Rev is also set to Y (Yes). The agreement’s movement to on-rent depends on whether revenue was recorded.
Practical Implications
- Monitoring Agreements. Be aware that new agreements might not be visible or counted immediately in the system until they are fully processed (signed and certified).
- System Settings. Ensure that the RENTCTRL flags (PendingTill Esigned and PendingTill Rev) are set correctly to manage the agreement statuses according to your business requirements.
- Callback Routine. Understand that changes in agreement status happen during specific routines or updates, so timing and settings are crucial.
