As the coronavirus outbreak continues to affect the way RTO businesses operate, we have compiled some essential tips and resources for managing due dates and discounting payments. We will continue to compile this list of resources as we field common questions during the outbreak.
This reference page contains information for the following:
Remote Workstation Connections. Existing High Touch RTO clients have the ability to connect to in-store workstations remotely. By default, SonicWALL provides two remote workstation user accounts. SonicWALL may charge additional licensing fees if you require more than two users. Please contact High Touch support to set up your SonicWALL for a remote workstation connection.

Adjusting payments and due dates
Extend Due Dates. This document provides information about extending a customer’s due date, without collecting a payment.
Free Payments. This document illustrates how to issue a free payment for a customer, without affecting the terms of the rental agreement.
Additionally, you can collect payments remotely through cynergi|suite’s pre-approved payment, pay by phone, pay by text, and online payment features. For more information see cynergi|suite University or contact your Account Manager.
Processing credit card payments remotely
OpenEdge Payment Options/OpenEdge View. This document provides information on accessing OpenEdge View. OpenEdge View is a remote web portal that allows you to charge and refund credit card payments.
First Data does not offer a remote web portal for processing payments. If your system relies on First Data for integrated payment process, and if you need remote credit card processing capabilities for your business, High Touch recommends utilizing a third-party option such as Square or PayPal Here. When selecting a third-party provider, processing rates may vary by company. If your system has integrated credit card payments (ICC) through First Data, you will need to contact High Touch support to disable the integration prior to utilizing a third-party processor.
v12.5 does not have integrated credit card processing. Please contact your credit card vendor to find out the options they have for collecting payments remotely. If they do not have a virtual terminal or online portal, then you can utilize a third-party option such as Square or PayPal. When selecting a third-party provider, processing rates may vary by company.
v15 relies on First Data for integrated payment processing, which does not have a remote web portal for processing payments. If you need remote credit card processing capabilities for your business, High Touch recommends utilizing a third-party option such as Square or PayPal Here.
